Becka Hyman

Becka joined Overland Farm Clinic in July 2021. She qualified with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy at the University of Hertfordshire in 2002 and has worked in London and Kent in both acute and community NHS settings and also within the private and occupational health sector. Becka is a clinical specialist pelvic health physiotherapist having completed additional studies in women’s and men’s health with the University of Bradford. She is the Pelvic Obstetric and Gynaecological Physiotherapy (POGP) area representative for the South East, helping to organise training for other pelvic health physiotherapists within this region. She also has extensive experience of working within musculoskeletal physiotherapy and adopts a holistic approach when treating her patients, using her training in myofascial release, Pilates, acupuncture, and certified ScarWork therapy knowledge to help manage pain and dysfunction.

"I ended up seeing Becka at Tracey Miles Physio after suffering from long-term UTI symptoms in pregnancy but with no proof of a UTI being present. After researching what else could cause these symptoms I found that pelvic floor dysfunction can have an impact so I set to finding someone who could help with that and I will be forever grateful I found Becka. After many months of being shrugged off by doctors, nurses and midwives, Becka listened intently to everything that had happened up to that point and she offered her opinion on what she thought could be going on. It was the first time I’d felt like I was in the hands of someone who truly understood women’s health and she was so reassuring to talk to. I didn’t think I could possibly enjoy any part of my pregnancy due to the constant pain I’d been in for so long but, thanks to Becka’s treatment, I am now able to enjoy these last few precious weeks. Becka is so highly skilled, knowledgeable, professional and the loveliest person along with it; it’s been a pleasure to be treated by her! I would feel confident recommending her to anyone needing physio but especially women needing pelvic floor help. It’s a daunting thing to seek treatment for but I couldn’t have felt more at ease and comfortable under the care of Becka, and the way I feel now compared to when I first saw her is so vastly different, both physically and mentally. She is absolutely brilliant!" Billie/Sandwich/Jan-22
